ABS Refrigerator Regrind - Contaminated - with Separation Steps to Recover material

ABS Refrigerator RG - with Contamination

This is Grinding of the Refrigerator. On average, it contains following items :

1. ABS regrind in white & light grey color ---- 60-65%
2. HIPS ---- 2~5%
3. PP----10%
4. Copper, Aluminum ---- 18%
5. Waste ---- 5~10%

This is the method that can be used for the recovery of respective materials :

1. Put all the material in Fresh water. PP will float in it. Collect it. Other materials would sink in it.
2. Then workers can separate the metal part (Copper, Aluminium ) by hand.  It is easily separated.
3. After that, put all the remaining material into salted water. Here ABS and HIPS would float. Collect them.

ABS is mixed with negligible amount of HIPS and hence it can be used along with ABS without any issue.
